Don has been very busy. He built this nice sandbox for Emma and put in a tree swing for her last night. Emma is having a blast.
See that field down to the right in the picture? That was 4 acres, full of weeds that were 30 feet tall! We kept seeing a guy drive by with mowing equipment, so Don stopped him one day to ask what he would charge to mow that for us. Well, we went to town the other night for groceries and dinner, and when we came home, all of it was mowed. How absolutely wonderful and nice. We are so greatful and just can’t thank him enough. I am thinking of baking him some brownies or something yummy for doing that for us. So now we have a really nice field. Maybe we will plant hay or something down there.
We had some good entertainment last night. A tree frog climbed up the outside of our sliding glass door in the family room and sat there and caught bugs that landed on the door all night. It was so fun to watch. He definitely had a full tummy when he went to bed!
On the way to work this morning, I got a flat tire. Completely flat. A nice man saw me and filled it with air for me, and then told me to follow him 1/2 mile down the road to his friends tire shop. The guy there gave me a brand new tire and put it on, all for the low price of $20!!! It’s such a nice little town. Everyone knows everyone and so far, we have only come across very friendly people. We just love our new place.
I should be getting my goats in about a week. I am so excited and nervous, all at the same time. What an adventure!
